Hey, can anyone confirm definitively if "Abraxas: Guardian of the Universe" (1990) is in fact in the public domain? I can't find a registration at Copyright.gov. It seems to be in a few PD DVD collections, but not that widely distributed.

Something from that time would be public domain only if the owner explicitly released it. If you don't have a statement to that regard assume it's under copyright.

This one falls under the cheap copyright programming catagory. That's why its on multiple DVD labels.
